Balearic Diving is a PADI 5 Star Gold Palm centre which has been operating since 2001. Desmond and Gillian Howell offer the full range of PADI courses, as well as daily dives to some of the best sites in South Mallorca. A fully stocked dive shop is also available to meet all your equipment needs. Capitan Haddock is Balearic Diving's purpose built dive boat. At 8 metres long with two 225hp engines, she can carry 14 persons in comfort and at high speed to reach all the local dive sites quickly and comfortably. Ease of access is emphasised with 2 platforms and two boarding ladders, and the boat is equipped with all necessary safety equipment, as well as oxygen resuscitation equipment. There is a wide selection of exceptional dive sites in South Mallorca, and Balearic Diving can cater for all tastes and abilities. Many of the sites are within the marine reserves of Malgrats Island and El Toro where the protected sea life has proliferated. There are also wreck dives at accessible depths, and dives on sheer rock walls which offer spectacular visibility. As mentioned earlier, the full range of PADI courses, from Discover Scuba to Divemaster, is available at Balearic Diving. There are certain medical requirements which need to be met by first time divers, and diving insurance is compulsory in Spain. These requirements are not onerous and can be easily dealt with.
