The wine cellars of Macià Batle lie on the edge of Santa Maria del Cami, in the middle of Mallorca's traditional wine growing area, the Binissalem-Mallorca D.O. There are many old vineyards where the rare Mallorcan varieties of Manto Negro,Callet and Prensal Blanc are harvested to give Macià Batle wines their unique character. This family-owned busines, now renowned through the wine world, traces is origins back to 1856, when the first bodega was built in Biniali, a few kilometres away. The current purpose built premises, equipped with the latest technology for quality wine production, were established 150 years later. The building itself is beautiful, being a practical but harmoious blend of the traditional and modern, and it allows the visitor to view the entire wine making process, and to purchase a case or more to enjoy later! Between 15th June and 14th October, opening hours are Mon to Fri 09:00 - 19:00. For the rest of the year, Macià Batle opens on weekdays 09:00 - 18:30 and Saturdays 09:30 - 13:00
