Fresh or frozen hand-made sausages are, not surprisingly, the speciality at the Gourmet Sausage Company. In the interests of research on behalf of our readers, we are working our way through the available flavours and we're about half way through the selection. So far, so good? No, much better than that - absolutely terrific is a better description.

Obviously, people are all different and will prefer one flavour over another, but everyone we've tried them on is full of praise for the quality of these sossies, and everyone wants to know where they can get more! Apart from plain pork, some of the flavours available are Cumberland Pork, Toulouse, Lamb and Mint, Pork with Honey and Mustard, Pork with Beef and Guinness, Olde English Pork with Herbs, Hot and Spicy Chilli, Pork and Leek, and Pork with Tomato and Herbs.

All the sausages are hand made, largely in English styles, and contain a minimum meat content of 75%. The latest addition to the list is South African Boerewors (farmer's sausage) which is totally authentic both in texture and taste - as far as we know, this is the only source of boerewors in Mallorca. In addition to the range of sausages, the Gourmet Sausage Company also supplies fresh and frozen Chili Lamburgers and Steak and Onion Burgers, both as quarterpounders.

But it's not all about sausages at the Gourmet Sausage Company. There's a wide range of familiar British food products now available including cooked meats, cheeses and bacon, and some frozen products. The range of grocery type items is comprehensive. From Indian and Oriental sauces and spices by Blue Dragon, Patak, and Sharwood, through Elsenam mustards, Twinings teas and products from Heinz, Colman's and Bisto, all the familiar names are there!
